Where non-magnetic rebar is the point
Steel is magnetic and it conducts. That is a problem beside an MRI, some laboratory kit, and rail systems that specify non-magnetic reinforcement. GFRP has neither property. The bar is glass and cured resin.
Typical places consultants ask: MRI suites and hospital extensions, metro tunnels and station boxes, instrument pits, and high-voltage surroundings where a conductive cage is unwanted.
Non-magnetic does not mean ‘no design’. Modulus is lower than steel, so deflection and crack width still govern. Trumbak can supply the bar and the lot weight. The electromagnetic and structural sign-off stays with the consultant.
